We've now rented with RVP 3 times, and we'll definitely book with them again! They are always very helpful on the phone and in person; once we had to call because the a/c unit wasn't working well and they had someone there quickly to look at it. They offer great specials throughout the year: most rentals offer the 5% repeat renter discount, and if you book 9 months before you travel you can get 15% off most houses. You add those two together, and you can get 20% off of your entire rate! Can't wait for next summer!

I think this is an awful vacation management company. In my opinion, they are unprofessional and not detail-oriented. They definitely know how to bill your homeowner account for services, but the lack of follow through was amazing. It's as if no one in this group does follow-ups or walk-throughs on your vacation home when guests vacate. We had big water bills (broken toilet flapper which RVP never caught), substantial damage to interior flooring (done by guests renting our house). Really no substantial communication regarding issues (until the annual inspections or something doesn't work). We remember vividly paying big dollars for a required "Annual Deep Clean" in 2010 (b/c we felt it's about revenue, from either its guests and owners, w/ RVP), We spent two whole days, out of our four day vacation, deep cleaning ourselves. The screened porch deck floor was covered in pet hair and each bucket of mopping the interior was loaded with dirt, to be specific. And this was after paying RVP to do the required "Annual Deep Clean." Crazy. Furthermore, let's talk about the RVP staff. Our vacation liaison was changing frequently during our business relationship (I believe we had a new person every 2 1/2 years). Employee turnover is not good in a business where building relationships are important, in our opinion. We were extremely disappointed with the service they provided us as owners. This lack of detail was quite depressing as we saw our home get damaged and no one in their group charged back the actual guests who did the damage. We even had our internet modem come up missing during the time RVP handled the management of our beach home. We hadn't been there in months so all of this was quite sad that RVP "weren't on the ball" finding solutions to these problems. Why doesn't someone with a good business sense open up a competitive rental company on St. George Island? Anyone could do much better than the experience we had in my opinion. Got to say RVP was the worst short-term rental management we've ever had managing one of our vacation properties. And we've owned a lot in the past -- 60 rental/vacation and real estate properties at one time. Now we have about 40 real estate properties. Good riddance is all we can say about RVP. So glad these folks have left our lives all together and we don't deal with them anymore. We will never use them again and we will definitely never recommend them. RECENT NOTE: Regarding what that RVP woman wrote in response (btw I have no idea who she is actually b/c it's a revolving door of employees -- turnover seems to be extremely high in their staff, or at least how it appeared to us when we engaged their services. Just this employee turnover scenario should tell you something about this business too). Please notice even how RVP responds back to you (see the RVP rep response back to me) everything is constantly made out to be your fault -- it's definitely seems to be their mode of operation at RVP. They definitely did not seem forward thinking or a solution-oriented group when we dealt with them and still don't. Ever since RVP has left our life, we've had far less drama and made so much more money to our bottom line handling things outside of this management company. We suggest you ask around to find out the real scoop about this vacation rental company! My experience definitely wasn't good with them. When we asked others we always got an earful of interesting comments. We now realize the termination of our business relationship with RVP was the best thing that ever occurred with our beach house and this lackluster vacation management company. Hello Candace: Yes we parted ways...and that's the best decision ever and thanks for the nudge to leave RVP -- WE HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE GRATEFUL that your group left our lives! I have an idea: rather than be so reactive to folks reviews, might you want to determine why ALL the most recent YELP reviews about RVP (for the last TWO years from what I see) all say similar things and gives RVP such dismal ratings regarding your business? Maybe some inward reflection is needed rather than trying to beat up customers who simply weren't pleased with your service business which you so dearly defend. I'd think that might be the best time spent for you and your company. As I stated earlier: GOOD RIDDANCE and I wish you the best although I'm definitely NOT a fan. P.S. An employee retention rate of 60% is nothing to be proud of btw -- you might want to do some research on the framework and makeup of successful businesses and how that is defined outside of Franklin County, FL.

We rented four times through RVP and tried to rent a fifth time but they screwed up the reservation and didn't contact us until the middle of the rental week! This was after we had bad experiences but decided to try them one last time. The first rental was ok, no major problems. The second time we rented the same house the following year but it was in need of attention as far as cleanliness, paint, furniture and bathroom mildew to name a few things. We were told RVP didn't actually inspect properties and some owners were not as attentive as the should be. The third time we decided to spring for what RVP called a luxurious house right on the beach. When we got there after a seven hour drive, we found out the place was a dump. Lots of arguing at the office, back and forth. Finally we were switched to an ok house in the Plantation, not on the beach but a few blocks away. Our elderly dog tripped all week in the loose carpet on the spiral stairs. So did we. The fourth time we had a reservation, our local news reported a red tide in the area. When we called RVP they LIED directly to us saying there was no ride. Again, seven hour drive, and then carrying luggage up the stairs I started coughing and my thought was sore. Our old dog was still with us and having a hard time breathing. We walked onto the beach and talked with some locals and confirmed it was the red tide. Regulation grouper all over the beach. A total poisonous fish graveyard! When we went to the office to complain, again there was much arguing about non-refundable rentals etc. On the counter was a stack of paper with red tide warning information the office was handing out for the last week. We had been lied to the day before. Don't ask me why but years went by and we really wanted to go to St. George again and figuring the inept staff had probably changed, we tried to make another reservation. That's when no one called us until the middle of the week, telling us our rent was due or we would lose the reservation. Are you kidding? You expect us to pay a one week rental for Thursday and Friday? I can't say enough how much trouble we had with this company! This year we used Collins. It was smooth, the house was great, and we had a wonderful time. I love the place but I will never ever deal with Resort Vacation Properties again! Lies, excuses, arguing, poor customer service? No way! I'd rather go to another beach!

Our favorite vacation rental management group in St. George Island! Always so helpful with answering questions about potential rentals or the rental we are coming down to. What I love most is I know I am receiving outstanding customer service each time I book with Resort Vacation Properties. Once you arrive on the island they make you feel so welcome and at home. We look forward our next booking :)

Our large group of 30 adults and teenagers rented two large homes through Resort Vacation Properties over spring break. The customer service from the time of booking to the end of our stay was excellent. Between the two homes we rented we had coffee pots that were broken, a hot tub that did not work, and door handles that came off in our hands. RVP was immediately responsive in all our calls and provided reimbursement for the hot tub that was not functioning during our stay. We would recommend renting through this company.
